First, we don't get the Senna doodle. Now, soccer gets 3 in a row and nothing about Le Mans? Photo courtesy of Bing.

To be fair, billions of people will watch the world cup, also it only happens once every 4 years. I think it's ok for them to miss LeMans...this time...

To be fair, the once-every-four-years FIFA World Cup is kind of a bigger deal than the once-a-year 24 Hours of Le Mans.

It might be a bigger deal to some people, but we have Audi, Porsche, and Toyota all very competitive in LMP and a new Corvette racing at LeMans. How often doe THAT happen?

Let's be real here. How many people are watching Le Mans?
The average person wouldn't have a single clue or give a fuck about it.
My friends asked if I was watching the world cup and I told them I was watching both that and Le Mans. They proceeded to ask me what Le Mans was (because I knew they would) and I said it's a race. Guess what they asked me. "A race like Nascar?"

I suppose I'd sound like that to them if I asked what the big deal about the FIFA World Cup is.
